MEET ME!
Dr. Stephanie Hutchman

I always say I didn’t choose School Psychology—it chose me! I initially planned to become a school counselor, but after just one phone call with the head of the school psychology program, I knew I had found my calling. Since then, I’ve loved helping students, families, and schools truly understand how to support growth effectively across all settings.

GET TO KNOW ME IN 30 SECONDS
I have served as a school psychologist, district administrator / advocate, and parent in IEP meetings / I am a Navy Veteran / I have four children spanning multiple generations / I survived a tornado / My superpower is uncovering the superpowers of others
Welcome. I am a School Psychologist with over ten years of experience supporting children, adolescents, and young adults in educational settings. I work closely with families to help them better understand their child’s learning profile, strengths, and needs, and to navigate the school process with clarity and confidence.

I have worked with students from preschool through transitional age young adulthood across a wide range of school settings, including public, charter, private, and alternative programs. My experience includes working with culturally and socio economically diverse communities and with students who are English Language Learners. I understand how school systems function from the inside, including the realities families often face when seeking appropriate supports.

In addition to my work in schools, I run an independent practice providing comprehensive neuropsychoeducational evaluations. My evaluations are thoughtful, thorough, and individualized, with a strong emphasis on translating data into clear, practical recommendations that families and schools can actually use.

I have maintained a private practice for more than five years while continuing to collaborate with school districts and local education agencies. This allows me to bridge clinical insight with real world school expectations and advocacy.

I am committed to ongoing learning and professional growth so that I can best serve the students and families I work with. I have completed advanced training in Clinical Psychology, School Neuropsychology, and PDA informed assessment and support. I approach my work with care, collaboration, and respect for each child’s unique developmental and educational journey.

I am certified as a School Psychologist in Pennsylvania and Georgia, credentialed in California for school based services, and licensed in Florida. I am a Board Certified Diplomate in School Neuropsychology and a PDA Affirming Provider with PDANA Level 2 certification.
